Katie was born and raised in Chicago, and it is still where she resides, makes music, and continues to grow. Her fourth studio album, Closer, debuted in 2012, and the band is currently hard at work, churning out their next set of songs. Katie has shared the stage with musical legends, including Patti LaBelle, Steve Winwood, Huey Lewis And The News, as well as contemporaries like Sarah McLachlan, Train, The Wallflowers, and Juliana Hatfield. She's performed in front of packed audiences at both Lollapaloza and Lilith Fair.

Lauded by iTunes as having one of the top buzz bands in the country, Katie Todd claimed a spot as the website's "Artist of the Week," earning over 300,000 downloads for the single, "Face Down." Her music has been featured in various movies; "Chasing The Green" starring Jeremy London, and "Other Peoples Parties," a Sundance finalist.  Katie has also obtained music placement in commercials and campaigns: Boston Globe: "Claustrophobe," National Geographic: "Go Green Campaign."

Katie's writing is both raw and emotion filled, with melodies that are both catchy and haunting. She constantly challenges herself musically, playing around with different styles and instrumentation. Her live show is always passion filled and honest, and her goal always hopes to inspire.
